Welcome to my website. My name is Lorelinde Verhees (1983 NL), visual artist and coach.

I enjoy working with people - especially creatives, creative schools and arts organisations. Coaching, teaching and commissioned texts are among the possibilities.

If you don’t consider yourself a creative, you are also very welcome. In coaching I focus on the personal process, not the specific outcome.

creative & personal development: natural companions

The intersection of personal and professional, creative development has my special interest.

From a young age, what I wanted of life was freedom. This was abstract, but no other life drew me in like the creative life. I felt a spark of what was possible, who I could become. Art was a bridge and hope to discover things of myself i could sense but not reach. I went to art school, did a master and studied abroad.

I focussed on my artistic career. With modest successes and lots of failures. The successes told me that what i did was only partially what i wanted of it. This was scary.

I had to look a little (uh.. a lot) deeper to see what was blocking that freedom I wanted. Then I went and did the work (which does not mean it is finished business ever). I found a trainer whom i trusted with my own proces. I stayed to learn the craft of this work. I wouldn’t believe anyone who told me I was going to do this work ten years ago.

Besides Western psychology and psychotherapy we studied Eastern ways of looking at the mind-body-spirit and working with it. I studied myself, my artist’ clients and students and read a lot on giftedness, sensitivity, intensity, neurodiversity and trauma.

I want to bring my foundation and experience in the arts to people work. Fellow humans on their journey to healing and a deepening connection to Self.

Dharma school (2 year post-HBO Zijnscoaching), St.Joost School of Art and Design (MFA, BFA) and Mountain School of Arts, Los Angeles.

Artistic profile

My main interests are subjects in systems. And the relation between them. How we are formed by them and, in turn, how we shape them. I make installations, collages and a thematic irregular social event, Readingbar. Since a few years I run Possibly, a small offline artists’ residency in my home studio.

My work is shown in solo and group exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad. Including Museum Boijmans van Beuningen Rotterdam, P/////AKT Amsterdam, Eindhoven Psych Lab, LEOXIII Tilburg, TENT. Rotterdam, Q18 Cologne, Enough Room for Space Brussels, High Desert Test Sites, Joshua Tree, Alpineum Produzentengalerie Luzern, Apice for Artists and many more.
